  1. Kansas Upland Bird Season

    November 10, 2018 - January 19, 2019 @ Statewide

    Limit for Pheasant is 4 per day and Quail is 8 per day. With 112,300 of public hunting lands in the area you should not have any problems finding a place to hunt. 19,000 acres of KS Dept. of Wildlife, Parks and Tourism  Public Hunting Lands surround Milford Lake.  In the northern area of Milford lake you'll find eight wetland cells that range in size from 60 acres to 250 acres for a total of 2,300 acres when pools are full.  On Fort Riley, 71,000 acres of 101,000 acres are managed for multiple use, which includes hunting. Military and general public can hunt on Fort Riley. Special Restrictions are in place. 12,000 acres of KS Dept. of Wildlife, Parks and Tourism  Public Hunting Lands surround Tuttle Creek with an additional 8,000 acres of U.S. Army Corps of Engineers lands open to hunting.   For more information: www.ksoutdoors.com/hunting    For Fort Riley Hunting Information: www.fortriley.isportsman.net

  2. Winter Trap League

    December 1, 2018 - January 31, 2019 @ Geary County Fish & Game

    Winter Trap League will begin December 1st to January 31st (except December 29th & 30) League shooter can shoot either Saturday or Sunday. Each shooter will shoot 50 targets at the 23 yard line. Cost is $12.00 per league shoot, weekly high score will win $25.00. High overall average for league will win $100.00, shoot a heads are allowed. For those that have never participated in a winter league and would like more information you can contact Shirley Allen at shirlallen@centurylink.net.

  3. How the Grinch Stole Christmas Story Day at Dorothy Bramlage Public Library

    December 7, 2018, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM @ Dorothy Bramlage Library

    Activities are planned from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. They will include Come plan Pin the Heart on the grinch, creating a grinch ornament, making your own reindeer antler like Max the dog, try some Grinch puzzles, and guess how many Christmas candies are in the jar. At 4 p.m. there will be a library big-screen movie showing the Jim Carrey film version of How the Grinch Stole Christmas. From 6:30 – 8 p.m. you can stop by take part in a Family ( Stolen ) Christmas Party. There will be a scavenger hunt to find out where the Grinch hid Christmas. And the Grinch himself will be there.
